Going green is one of the fastest growing trends in the consumer world today. The increase in consumer demand is fantastic (way to go EcoParents!) as it forces companies to consider how they can offer greener versions of products to meet this new demand. However, some companies are making unfounded claims about their supposedly “green” products, without actually living up to reasonable standards. There is a term for this: greenwashing.
